Reaction to Eric Trump’s Memorial Day Post

Scarborough and Brzezinski were visibly shocked and audibly exasperated following a social media post by Eric Trump commemorating Memorial Day. Eric’s post quoted another message from the Trump family that was captioned, “The family that gave up everything to save America.” Eric added, “And we will do it again!”

The discussion panel, which was already analyzing former President Donald Trump’s Memorial Day message, quickly incorporated Eric’s post into their conversation. Former President Trump’s Memorial Day Statement

Former President Donald Trump also made headlines with his Memorial Day statement on Truth Social, where he criticized E. Jean Carroll and the judge involved in his civil rape case, labeling them as “Human Scum.” He expressed dissatisfaction with the judgment against him, which amounted to $91 million for defamation and sexual battery charges. Despite being exonerated on the criminal rape charge, Trump was ordered to pay $83.3 million and posted a $91 million collateral bond pending an appeal of the judgment.

Comparison with President Biden’s Memorial Day Message

In stark contrast, Scarborough and Brzezinski praised President Joe Biden’s Memorial Day message as a demonstration of different leadership styles. However, they did not address Biden’s own controversies related to fallen veterans. Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki recently had to retract statements in her book denying that Biden checked his watch while the bodies of soldiers killed in Afghanistan were being unloaded from an aircraft. Furthermore, Biden has been criticized for overshadowing a family who lost their daughter in Iraq by focusing on the death of his son Beau.
